Kerrang! Front Cover Analysed
This Kerrang! Magazine is a music magazine and the feature photo and main article is about the band 30 Seconds to Mars. The writers of this magazine understand that the majority of people reading this magazine would be teenagers that enjoy rock music, they also understand that people, although they want to know what is included in the magazine, they do not want to read a long paragraph of text on the cover and would rather have just to-the-point information, this is the linguistic code. The colours that have been used on the cover work together well, the red and the black contrast well against each other along with the white title and parts of text, this is the visual semiotic code.

Diary Week 3
During week 3 we had 3 coursework lessons in which we started to learn about Semiotics and Semiology, and watched the opening scene from Taxi Driver and analysed how the director makes the viewers feel about characters in the film. In the next lessons we then took pictures for our school magazine and started to put the magazine together.
Diary Week 2
In week two, we started to use a program called 'CoralDRAW X3' and started to learn how to use the basic functions of the program. Later on in the week we started to learn the more advanced functions of the program leading on to be able to use CoralDRAW X3 to create our front cover of our school magazine.
